This book is for Europeans, not Americans

I am returning this book because it has European measurements, European oven temperatures, and European words. In addition, some recipes call for ingredients I never use. Recipes are strange. They contain ingredient lists with just the number 1 next to several ingredients. Is it 1 cup, 1 tsp, what? They have the word "spoon" as a measurement. Is it a teaspoon, a tablespoon, what? I recommend the other one I bought by Tara Spencer.
