For not reading contemporary novels often…I loved this book! The main leads Remy and Jeremiah are so cute and I absolutely loved their banter! Remy, the book's heroine, is a sarcastic and feisty woman that has a tragic past yet is still strong and independent--working on her career away from the world. I really enjoyed her character and how her and dear old Wendell's relationship was as well, it was very wholesome! I really liked Jeremiah a.k.a Jonah as the leading man in this book! He was charming, but not at all in an overbearing way, and was just as witty as Remy so their banter and back and forth dialogue was super fun and funny to read! Remy and Jeremiah's relationship was done really well and I loved how Jeremiah was so committed to Remy, it's really nice to see a leading man know exactly what he wants and doesn't stray from that! I also loved how God was intricately intertwined into Jeremiah and Remy's story, it really just topped this story off and I loved it so much! The only thing I will say is I didn't understand the reasoning for Fiona's, Jeremiah's mother's, point of view to be in this book. It felt somewhat like a different book when I would read these chapters, but it didn't ruin the flow too much as the chapters were very short. All in all this was such a good and compelling story! The mystery incorporated is also intriguing and I was on the edge of my seat at the end! Another wonderful story by a great author, I highly recommend this story if you love witty banter relationships, rom com type stories, and cozy mysteries! *This book was given to me by the publisher but all thoughts are my own!

Becky Wade has written a pretty near perfect book in Memory Lane. This is one of those books that I didn't want to end so I read slowly or at least I tried.. There is so much going on but it all works here. Somehow Becky has paired an isolated traumatized artist and a famous millionaire who has amnesia and it came out ….. well it all worked...and amazingly at that! Add to that a famous family, a mystery, scandal and both characters with complicated backgrounds and you have a story that will keep you wanting to read what happens in the next book in the series. I loved both Remy and Jeremiah plus all the side characters. Remy is grumpy and resistant but Jeremiah is equally persistent and caring. The Maine island setting and the pacing was perfect and the romance is so right for both of them. I do wish there had been a bit more of a spiritual thread though. I recommend it highly.
