Black Flat Powder is PERFECT

It took a bit of time to me to got the results I want with the Powder Coating thing. I was also hesitating with the flat black powder regarding the 2 negative comment I saw. But honestly, the powder is just perfect!!! Here is the technics I used: -clean the aluminium parts with sand paper or metallic brush (brass one!). -then I washed the parts under clear water with dish soap. -rince well the parts and do not dry it with anything!!! -attach the parts to the hanging wire using powder free gloves. -then place the parts in the oven at 200 Deg C for 20min. -install a dryer on the pressure air hose, setup at 2 bars maximum. -fill the gun tank with powder, I usually load 1/3 of the tank. -when the parts are hot, put them out of the oven, hang them outside and apply a thin coat of the powder. Usually, I do two pass everywhere! -the fact that the parts are hot enough to start the curing process, the powder start to melt right away and do not escape the parts due to wind or Faraday effect. -then put them back to the oven for 20 min ;-) -Do not touch the parts at the end of the cooking time before they are cold enough, otherwise, you will have non desirable marks. Then your parts have pro looking. My process works for me, I hope it will help those who didn't like this powder yet. So the powder is perfect, the process is usually the issue. Find yours and you will be more than happy with this powder.

Nice smooth look.

Used this on racecar parts and even a sink drain, really like the looks of it.

Not flat black

The "Flat Black" powder is not flat. It has considerable sheen. I would say it is more like a semi-gloss. But it goes on well and looks great if you want a glossier finish.
