Drive Medical Pure Expressions Economy Dual Channel Electric Breast Pump

To be honest, I haven't heard of the Drive Medical Pure Expressions breast pump before, so didn't know what to expect. However, I got a chance to try it and it is pretty good for the price! In addition to the general breast pump pieces, it also comes with: two 4oz/120 mL small bottles with nipples and cap (the nipples are the ones with a smaller shape) and two plastic stands to place the bottles (which may come in handy to keep the bottles clean). Pros: - It's a dual breast pump, so you have the option to pump both sides at the same time. For me, this is a must, since it saves so must time. - It feels very gentle while doing a very good job expressing milk. Compared to another more expensive breast pump that I have, I was surprised that the expression mode of the Drive Medical breast pump was more gentle. It feels similar to a Baby's sucking sensation, so seemed more natural too. - Allows you to control the speed and suction with 28 different pumping variations. I recommend starting that the lowest level and increase power as you go until you find the combination that is comfortable and works best for you. (Generally, you shouldn't feel any pain). - Breast pump set is pretty compact and light weight, so it's easy to carry around - Option to plug in the breast pump or use the external battery pack to use while you are out. I haven't had to use the external battery pack yet, but I think it will come in handy when there are no outlets. I did notice that this breast pump has an anti-back flow system that ensures milk doesn't go into the tube and into the machine, which is good. However, it's not a completely closed system with a barrier in between. That means that occasionally the tubing may have some condensation after pumping, thus once in a while I think it may be necessary to clean the tubing to ensure cleanliness. Overall, I think this is a good quality breast pump!
