These tools will last a lifetime

Years ago my father told me "buy the best screwdriver once of a cheep one five times." Wiha tools are the best and are a pleasure to work with. I have a range of screwdrivers right down to the timy ones in the cloth kit and use them every week for household repairs and minor work on my cars.

Great screwdriver

For work on small, expensive electronics projects there is no finer flathead screwdriver. This is a pro lifelong tool with a price that actually reflects the quality.

Brittle, blade too thick.

I routinely work on imported brass scale models. I immediately noticed that the thickness of the wiha blade was in excess of the thickness of most metric slotted screws. Now, granted, many of these models are quite old, and may not adhere to current best fastener practices. But too often, using a narrower blade to get into the slot resulted in a chipping of the edge of the blade due to the torque load. I'm ok with the product, but keep my old "cheapies" handy for that reason - they fit the slots better.
