Khombu Womens Iris Suede Cold Weather Winter & Snow Boots

I love the look. The color is a very light gray with the slightest hint of lavender (imo) but it's so subtle it may just be the name of "iris" that has me imagining purple lol. It would go with anything! The material... It claims it's leather. Really? It's a brushed feel, so why doesn't it say suede leather? It just doesn't seem like real suede or leather to me. Then it says the insole is suede with a man made upper. Very confusing. The insole is very soft, removable, and for now, has a memory foam cushion which makes it really comfortable to walk on. But all memory foam is not created equal, and many go flat. So how well it'll hold up is yet to be seen. It also claims to be all weather, and since it has not snowed here yet, I can't say whether it'll leave water marks on the upper material, whether suede, or leather, or man made. It's hard to comment on "true to size" because I need to size up to fit orthotics. If this bootie had arch support, I'd give it 5 stars in other areas. It's very flat. That's a bummer for me, as I need to try to make so many adjustments for my feet, and am trying to figure out how to keep the memory foam insole, but somehow add arch support which I drastically need. I don't usually write reviews, but I like these boots. I got another pair of Khombu short boots that are too high and cut into my shin when I walk. This pair is shorter in front, so that's not a problem. I can't remember what I paid, about $35 I think. So for that price, I'm loving it. I just hope it's all weather like it says. And it would be nice if the description were more clear about the materials. Thumbs up, though.
