This is my everyday primer. I have skin that tends to be oily and my makeup often felt like it was sliding off my face. I've tried multiple other primers with lackluster results. This one keeps my makeup where I put it, and keeps my face from feeling oily. It is true that this stuff is thick and somewhat difficult to smooth. However, difficulties with the consistency of the product are easily remedied with a couple application tricks: 1) don't put it on if you have moisturizer or lotion on your hands or face. If you moisturize before makeup application, let it dry completely before priming. Reviews that talk about clumping are likely experiencing these results because they had leftover lotion on their faces or hands when applying. 2) apply it quickly and follow the directions regarding setting it. It specifies to set it by lightly tapping your face. I highly recommend this product for people with shiny complexions, just note that you'll have to get used to the application a bit if you are accustomed to using really light and dewy primers.
