Laser-cut, CNC-finished flanges for a perfect fit to engine and transmission. 0.318-inch laser cut steel bell housing flange with Chevy LS engine bolt pattern. 0.400-inch thick laser cut transmission flange with Tremec T-56/Magnum/TR-6060. 7-gauge steel die-formed bellhousing fixture welded to flanges. Includes a 0.115-inch thick engine cover plate that bolts to the bell housing. No provision for a clutch fork or pivot stud, hydraulic release bearing only. Includes a 1.5-inch hole for the hydraulic release bearing lines to exit the top of the bell housing. Must be used with a 168-tooth LS flywheel and max 11-inch clutch diameter. Includes block/cover plate and installation hardware. Made in-house at Speedway Motors (non-SFI rated) Features a durable black zinc-plated finish. If your LS swap plans include Three Pedals, We have the perfect LS Bellhousing solution When you get right down to the production numbers, as popular as the LS engine has been for GM, it has relatively low production numbers when backed by a manual transmission. Sure, there are diehard enthusiasts out there who order their F-body with a manual, but when you look at pure numbers most LS engine applications (Impala, GM truck, etc.) are either automatic only or have very low manual transmission production numbers. So, when it comes to the budget-friendly LS swap everyone loves for their classic GM muscle car, truck, or hot rod, it is tough to find a complete swap source with a manual transmission behind it. Therefore, it is often the case that your LS donor engine is either backed by an automatic, or the factory T-56 six-speed is long gone for someone else's swap. While many will make plans to upgrade to a modern 5-speed transmission that can handle the increased performance potential of your LS swap, if you're planning a turbo or supercharger upgrade you'll need a transmission with greater torque ability. To do so means having the proper LS bellhousing to install the strongest manual transmissions out there; the Tremec T-56, TR-6060, or T-56 Magnum 6-speeds. Speedway Motors has the solution with our steel LS swap bellhousing. Precision CNC machined and Fixture Welded for A Perfect Fit We know the offerings for a 6-speed LS swap bellhousing are limited and we wanted to change that. Our steel LS swap T56 bellhousing provides the perfect answer to mounting the factory 6-speed from many of GM's performance cars up to your new LS engine. Our steel LS bell housing also provides you with the upgrade path to aftermarket 6-speeds from Tremec with even more torque capacity, such as the TR-6060 used in more recent performance-oriented GM models, or Tremec's T-56 Magnum (essentially a marriage of the stock T-56 with TR-6060 internals). Making this the perfect LS T56 bellhousing when it comes time to upgrade your transmission from the stock donor T-56 to the stouter aftermarket version. Designed and manufactured in-house here at Speedway Motors, you know you're buying a quality product. The transmission flange is cut and machined in the same manner from thicker .400-inch (13/32-inch) material. Both flanges are then held in a precise fixture with our 7-gauge steel formed 6-inch deep bell housing and completely welded for a strong and tough T56 bell housing assembly. The completed assembly is then given a black zinc coating for great, long-lasting looks.
