Faulty connector, Seller ghosted me

Came with a blank disc that was supposed to have drivers and a program on it. Eventually seller did email me the files with a sketch looking download link. Once I got everything setup properly and tried connecting it with my car, it instantly got extremely warm, light turned off, and it refused to register with my PC showing as an unknown usb device unless I completely uninstall and reinstall drivers. When trying to find a solution, seller randomly stopped replying. Most items this wouldn't matter, but I need this so I can fix my car. This is something I need to work.
