4 out of 5 stars review

Good desk, dumb assembly instructions.

Not a bad desk. I didn't like how Hayneedle handled the customer service side of things in regards to my purchase of this desk through them, but that may be irrelevant to this review. The desk is nice, I guess. I initially bought it because I wanted a deep desk where I can keep my computer monitors a maximum distance away from my eyes. All other desks I looked at seemed to have standard dimensions that placed the monitors too close to my face. Custom desks at a certain 'Next' builders had deals that were absurdly expensive--totally not worth it in my opinion. This Hon desk was cheap, and sturdy, looks decent and appears to serve as a nice executive desk. It's instructions for assembly, however, are incredibly stupid. The pictures and instructions don't match up and the wording of the instructional guide was not straight forward at all. I think building all the Legos as a child, and ikea products as a student helped me to figure out the Hon. Anticipate rage when you're trying to put this desk together. Might need a second set of hands to help. The desktop is also incredibly heavy.
