Insomniac here. I have been taking Alteril for a few years now. Having taken both, I prefer the gelcaps over the tablets. I could buy in store for a long time, but can now only find the gelcaps online. I take an hour before I go to bed and just very gently start to feel sleepy. Alteril is a combination of naturally occurring ingredients and us not addictive, which appealed greatly to me. I tried the Benadryl route; it made me drowsy, but also exacerbated my restless legs syndrome. I do not know what I would do without this product; it is THAT valuable to me.
