CUSTOM LEATHERCRAFT DG5204 Professional Kneepads with Gel

Wife bought these fo me to replace ones I recently lost. I wear them when kneeling in shorts to protect my knees from brick and other rough terrain. I found a “trick” to keeping them up. Take the top strap and instead of crossing it behind your knee, cross it in front of your knee first then go behind the knee and across the front to the other side. They stay up well that way. The first crossover helps keep the strap high above the knee thereby “pulling” upward on the pad rather than just wrapping around the back of the knee. Basically, the crossover has the strap pulling up diagonally on each side of the pad holding it up. I hope this helps others put these to better use and prevent slipping of the pads to become shin pads.

Thought I was buying well designed knee pads, but they do not stay in place. Constantly slipping from side to side or sliding down my leg. I needed them for light work in my crawl space but they are too frustrating to use.
