Rolled the dice a bit for this unbeatable low cost replacement fan on for my 2005 Passat TDI GLS. My original fan went bad about 30k miles ago, after which I decided to get it replaced with a cheaper aftermarket BEHR branded fan. This lasted for about 3 years, but was always much noisier than the OE fan. Now I have the much cheaper ACM brand, and it wasn't only an easy DIY install but it's much quieter than the BEHR brand. Time will tell how long it will stand up to continuous use.
