It works and can be exactly what you need when nothing else works. You can use the back wheel as a thumb wheel to turn the bit. The wheel can be removed used this works as a mini ratchet for sockets.
The mechanism is very coarse, however, if you are used to a decent ratchet.
I liked the functionality so much that I purchased something nicer, but, significantly more expensive.
What I like: Size, functionality, and cost. I am not worried about dropping this or getting it dirty. You won't say "oh no, I scratched my $90 Victorinox mini ratchet." The size is perfect for those hard to reach places.
What I don't like: The ratchet is not smooth. I own many ratchets, and based on my other Tekton ratchets, in my mind it would have an action like those at a fraction of the price and size.
I like having this in my toolbox and think it was a decent purchase. I would even guy it again, I just expected something smoother.
Note that this item is a discontinued product so if you are thinking about getting one, buy it now while you can still get it.
