Works with Yosemite System
Just plug, and open in TimeMachine. I was a bit leary wehn I read the information as far as specs. BUT even tho this does not say that it does work with Mac's Yosemite System, it *does* work, and works well.
I have already recommend this to others as far as purchasing.
If you have a Mac with fairly current operating system, this will work for you.
I believe that I read an earlier review of this product that stated the purchaser was disappointed because it had no *power cord* which specs said it did. That is incorrect. The connecting cord is in the plastic under the item. It is not a power cord that you plug into the wall!! You do not have to plug it into an outlet. You plug in the WD hook up, then the USB goes into your computer. The item runs off of the computer power. You have a choice as to run this unit with or without battery power. I chose *not* to run off of the laptop battery power, I just plug in my laptop charger and back up while laptop charger is plugged into a wall outlet.
