Nuvo Lighting - One Light Outdoor Ulitlity Flush Mount-4.25 Inches Wide by 8

Needed to replace four broken deck lights in mild LA climate. These are simple, basic, but quite attractive, seem well constructed and are remarkably inexpensive I spent more on bulbs and installation than I did on fixtures. I was installing them into horizontal redwood arms coming from vertical posts, so needed to modify horizontal arm extending out from post to accommodate them. Lights are designed to be installed in junction boxes, but wasn't gonna do that. Old bases just screwed into horizontal arms. However there is very little clearance between the Nuvo base and whatever you mount it on, so you will need to create room for wires. I cut a circular 2 inch hole into a piece of 2x6 redwood and screwed it into horizontal arm, thus providing room for wires and connectors. Lamp assembly does include a ground wire. There is a rubber seal between glass globe and aluminum base, but junction between base and whatever you mount base to needs to be sealed with caulk to make it waterproof. Overall a bit of work, but I'm pleased with result.
