The author tries to draw the reader's attention to the most tragic and dramatic events of the Bolshevik regime period in the Soviet Union in order to fill the gaps of the official state history, which for many years hushed up many crimes of the Soviet past. According to the author, ignorance of all the detrimental consequences of the October Bolshevik coup of 1917 and the criminal nature of the Soviet ruling regimes creates the preconditions for the repetition in one form or another of gross mistakes and crimes of the Soviet state already in the new historical conditions. The author believes that the time has come to open all the archives of the Soviet era to wide access of scholars and the public, to finally give a fair historical assessment of the activities of the VKP (b) - CPSU and its punitive bodies, to publicly condemn their crimes that have become known against their own and foreign citizens.
