A-Premium Heater Blower Motor with Fan Cage Replacement for Toyota RAV4 2006-2017 Corolla Matrix Pontiac Vibe Scion tC xB

I got this for my 2010 Corolla LE with manual HVAC controls. So far I'm so glad I impulsively got this one. It was half the price of other ones I saw. I usually don't buy products that don't have reviews, especially if they cost more than a few bucks or require work to install. The fan works really well and is quiet. I was totally miserable without it. The fan was somewhat hard to put in because Toyota made a bad design, which they fixed in later years. There are videos online that say they show the process for replacing the fan in a 2010, but the process isn't the same as it was for my car. Those cars have an easier installation due to the adjustments Toyota made. The main issue with my installation was that it was physically awkward accessing the fan area, and the tools I had available were too bulky to fit between the connector bracket and the fan. There's a very narrow space to put the wrench in. Since the tools were too bulky it was hard to figure out which size of wrench I needed. I believe it requires an 8mm wrench or equivalent SAE. Sockets on a ratchet wrench won't fit. The fan itself is very nice but there are bumps on the plastic under where the bracket goes, which prevent the bracket from screwing down flat on this model/year/release of Corolla. I think it would be fine on most other releases because the bracket is different. The bracket in my car is screwed down as far as is reasonable but it still jiggles a bit. However I can't hear it bouncing around or anything like that and it would probably be possible to flatten out the plastic with a Dremel when I have more time.
