A little pricey for the quality

The shade is lovely. The metal base and stem don't look like the online photos, however. The metal appears to be pinkish-tan in color with stripey dark brown brush strokes that are quite obvious . A little concerned about the durability issue that others have mentioned, so we don't plan to adjust the shade angle once it's set. Overall, it works for our purpose, but it's probably a little pricey for what it is.
