A mysterious force plagues the mining colony of Nur, the only town on Manim, a strange planet in the Zysti galaxy. Once every year, an enigmatic weather event called The Shades engulfs all of Manim, blanketing it in a storm and forcing a planet-wide evacuation. Azer is a young orphan in Nur with mysteries of his own. His memories are missing, his origin is unknown, and most mysterious of all, he has no face. The story of The Shades follows Azer and his friends as they seek to discover the truth about their planet and about themselves.
