Does a great job giving my hair the “managed softness” I usually like or more curls for special occasions. I'm enjoying using this curling iron. It took a little practice to get the hang of using it without burning myself, but I'm getting better at it. The instructions that came with it are very basic. My daughters recommended that I check out YouTube for more “advanced” styling info - which I'll do one of these days, but I'm really glad I bought this - I needed it to replace the one I lost in my move (%26 I think this is an upgrade!). And it was on sale
