Just received my first set of steel toed shoes. I am very impressed. My expectation was a bulky heavy boot like shoe and these were far from that. The are very comfortable, fairly light and look more business like than 'built for working'. The size was true as well. They fit up to the size dress shoes that i currently wear.

Bought boot for name, thought it provide good comfortable padding for standing, etc. The boot is well made, light, however, the thin uneven padding inside provides not comfort. Feet ache after long standing or work. Need to try buying inserts for comfort now.

We are disappointed to hear you are not completely satisfied with your Dr. Martens. I understand the desire for comfort when you must be on your feet. That said, this shoe is static-dissipative (SD). If this is a safety feature you need, you must replace the current insoles with replacement insoles that are also SD. Without the conductive stitching in the insole, this shoe will no longer work as an SD shoe. We offer two SD replacement insoles. They are: T700, the Nautilus Static-Dissipative Replacement Insole MEMESD , the Impacto Anti-Fatigue Static Dissipative Memory Foam Insoles
