Not Marlin ready, But...
I needed a reel for a collapsible rod I plan to keep on my boat. This was all I needed for entertainment on a peaceful day on the lake. Does it work "reel" good? I don't know. Does it snarl easily? I don't know. Can I catch 50 pound bass? I don't know. (I could get real lucky!). For the price it beats a bamboo stick and twine and a safety pin. (Worm not included)

A vey nice "SMALL" device
I purchased this reel for a Telescoping fishing rod. The reel appears well made and and I hope it works out well. Though perfect for my telescoping fishing rod, this is a super small device. If you purchase this be aware it is "child" size. For my planned use it is perfect, but you should really be sure it is what you want before purchasing. I won't get to use it until next year, so no in use report from me.
