Inspired and named after a menacing Etruscan bronze statue discovered within Tuscany, Italy. A Chimera is a mythological creature depicted as having a lion's head, a snake as its tail, and a goat's head protruding from its back. This U-Boat Chimera chronograph is a limited edition bronze marvel of only 500 pieces and features a sizeable 46 mm aged bronze case that holds a matte dark brown metal dial with dual layers under a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal and bordered on by a fixed bezel fastened with 5 screws. These specialized external screws with a custom head type hold together the bezel, carrure, and caseback. It has perforated bronze hands, laser-cut counters, indices, and Arabic numerals at the 4, 8, and 12 o'clock positions as hour markers. This "Destro"(right-handed) timepiece is equipped with a screw-down crown on the left side, highly distinctive with its "canteen watch" inspired crown protective cap with a crown release system pusher at 8 o'clock positions and a discreet date aperture at 9 o'clock position. 4 counters share the dial: 12-hour, 60-second, 30-minute, and 12-hour second time zone. On the right side of the case is a fixed plate with its limited edition number. Fitted with a brown leather strap secured by an aged bronze buckle which gives off a classic look. This watch also features an exhibition caseback with a U-shaped sapphire window showcasing a Swiss automatic movement, processed and modified according to U-Boat specifics beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is water-resistant up to 100 meters/330 feet.
