    Enjoyable Learning Experience

The B8 banjo is a couple grades above a beginners instrument and fits right in the hands of guitar and string players who want to add that sweet banjo plinking effect to the mix. I bought this in October of 2016 and by November I was well on my way to incorporating the banjo sound into some of my music. The B8 plays true once set up correctly and has above moderate handling for me. Sure I'll move on to a more expensive instrument soon, but for the price this one is a good first pick, it's record worthy and a great introduction to how banjo works with no glitches. It'll keep a place on my wall, it's a keeper! It's a Washburn!

    Excellent starter Banjo

Excellent starter banjo. Switching from guitar to banjo was made much easier with this kit. The gig bag is not very good, and the picks will need to be replaced immediately . The instrument itself is very nice, and sounds good. Setup is relatively simple, measure from the nut to the twelfth fret. Set the bridge that same distance from the twelfth fret on the drum head. I would have given 5 stars had Washburn included metal adjustable finger picks and some extra thumb picks in multiple sizes. Would have been an extra cost of 3 bucks for them. All in all very happy with my purchase.
