En Sandaili, una humilde ermita excavada en la roca, ha aparecido el cuerpo mutilado de una mujer, asesinada mientras practicaba un antiguo rito de fertilidad. Su torso ha sido abierto y vaciado y las manos han sido colocadas a ambos lados de su abdomen en actitud de entrega. La escena reproduce, con macabra exactitud, las figuras de los apóstoles que Oteiza esculpió en la fachada de la basílica de Arantzazu. Las pruebas señalan que alguien realizó una copia de su rostro en el momento de su muerte.
 
Un peligroso asesino ritual ha nacido al abrigo de las verdes montañas que guardan desde tiempos inmemoriales los mitos y las leyendas de los vascos. Un enclave aislado, moldeado por el agua que ha dejado sus cicatrices en forma de desfiladeros majestuosos y profundas cuevas. In Sandaili, a humble shrine carved into the rock, the mutilated body of a woman has been discovered. She was murdered while practicing an antient fertility rite. Her torso was opened and emptied; her arms placed on both sides of her abdomen in a gesture of surrender. The scene reproduces, with macabre accuracy, the figures of the apostles that Oteiza sculpted on the facade of the sanctuary of Arantzazu. The evidence indicates someone made a copy of her face at the time of her death.
 
A dangerous ritualistic killer has risen, sheltered by the green mountains that have hold Basque myth and legend since days of old. An isolated location, shaped by water that has left scars in the form of majestic gorges and deep caves.
