I have only been running this card for about a week now but so far I'm very pleased with it. My performance over the RTX 2060 FE is fantastic. I have been able to run all my games on ultra setting as well as multiple monitors (40" 4k 60 Hz, and 34" ultra-wide 1440p at 144 Hz) without any issues .
I did however, upgrade my power supply from 750w to 1050w. The minimum recommend PSU is 750w but the power use can go fairly high on the card if you overclock the GPU (I'm not doing this but I do intend to video rendering so I want a bit of a power buffer considering my case runs tons of RGB, 64Gigs of RAM, and an i9-9900k cpu. This card has a reputation of having a heavy power draw under high load.)
Speaking of the case, I also ended up buying a tower case (Phantek's Enthoo 719) and Thermaltake riser cable to accomodate vertical mounting of the GPU. (I wasn't able to install the card in my old case because of the AIO raidiator for the CPU blocked installation of the GPU.)
I'm pleased with its performance. It works great.
PROS
- Excellent GPU for Games (Everything I have test it on runs on ultra/max settings without issues.)
- Quiet (The fans don't kick in unless the card gets over 55-60 C and when they do they run well, it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner.)
- Good Looking (The card has built in RGB that makes any build look great.)
CONS
- Power (The card uses a lot. I recommend, based on what I have seen 850w minimum.)
- Size (Its large. Over 11" [300mm] in length and takes up 2.75 slots, essentially a 3 slot card. You'll need a case that will handle it.)
- Price (This is a top end "flagship" card from EVGA so its expensive. The only other option at this level and near the price point is the RTX 3090 which gives you similar performance and eight additional Gigs of RAM. )
- Availability (If you can afford it at MSRP or at $100-200 over MSRP, I recommend you grab one if the option comes up. I was lucky to be able to buy it online here from Walmart. )
