Even Cuts Easy to Use Easy to clean

Not a bad hard plastic slicer. I do a lot of dehydrating. This mandolin slicer gives me even cuts while keeping my finders safe. It has a bunch of removal blades even though I am using only one of the blades. It also has a dial for several widths. I have not done tomatoes so I don't know how well it works on tomatoes. I have done lots of apples and bananas. Also sweet potatoes and beets. And sweet potatoes are hard to slice. It held up pretty well. Easy to use. Easy to clean. I would recommend the mandolin for the price.

Not for "waffle fries", but works well.

It seems to be good, but not for the reason I bought it. I had hopped I cut "waffle fries". The crinkle-cut blade does not have enough depth to the "waves". Even at the thinnest setting, the potato is not a waffle (with the traditional holes). Also, at the thinnest setting, I get potato chips, not fried potatoes. Note: I have not tried the tomato blade yet.

Did not work for me

Was so looking forward to a "safe" mandolin but just couldnt get this to work. Blades tricky to insert, sliding base hard to keep on track, food (carrots) would not impale on spikes and so food landed on the counter.
