Add a bold timepiece to your garden with the Rome Brass Father Time Sundial. This beautiful dial features a raised Father Time figure at the base, surrounded by the phrase "Grow old along with me/The best is yet to be" in polished brass. Roman numerals in polished brass encircle the dial, and a band of matching dots surrounds the entire unit to complete the look. The four o'clock hour is noted as "IIII," rather than "IV," to accurately reflect the numerals used in ancient times. A verdigris colored gnomon with eagle detailing finishes the piece. Ensure that the gnomon points celestial north in order for it to cast an accurate shadow, indicating the time. Mount this dial on a Rome pedestal with the included hardware. The solid brass construction will withstand the elements with little maintenance, and the verdigris and brass finish will age beautifully.
