Walmart has a long way to go for online purchases

I made 2 purchases online of 2 different windshield covers for my cars. Unfortunately, we decided to find other alternatives. I initiated the return online and it gave me the options to either ship it back or return it in store. Since there is a Walmart close by, I thought it would be better to just return them directly there. There is where the issues started. They did not accept my returns and told me to call a 1-800 number. After some wait, Moe tried to help me. I don’t know if he didn’t understand I had 2 separate purchases, but he was able to give me an exception for the first one and then simply didn’t do anything about the second one. I am ok returning them, but he really wasn’t much help. He didn’t check if they would give me a second exception and simply said the manufacturer had to contact me for the next steps. I was leaving the country that evening and wasn’t going to be able to follow up. In the end I am back at work trying to figure out how to do a return that was supposed be an “In-store returns are easy”. Very disappointed with the Walmart process.
