Amazing Picture, Color, and Smoothness

There's a lot to say about this monitor, most of it good, but not all of it. Still, the TL;DR version of this, it's a great monitor, particularly for the price. Pros: - 1440P Resolution is perfect for a 27" monitor. Not so high resolution you need to increase the font size, not so low you might see the pixels. Graphics, text, and video look sharp on the monitor. - Brightness - With HRD400 it can do over 400 nits, but it can do that in non-HDR mode as well. Need to work in a bright room? This is great. Got a light shining on the monitor? No worries, this will handle it just fine. - Contrast ratio - IPS panel LCD monitors aren't known for great contrast ratios, but this has one of the best at 1400:1 (only advertised at 1000:1, so it's underselling itself). What does this mean? Dark content looks amazing, with truer blacks and darks. I mean, it's not as good as OLED or a VA panel, but it's excelent. - Colors - Out of the box colors look amazing, and there's even an SRGB mode that works if you need that level of color accuracy. Overall, It's nearly perfectly calibrated for color out of the box, which is great. Set it up and go. - 240hz refresh rate is amazing. Windows looks smooth, and games are amazing on it. High refresh rate helps more than I'd have expected in visual quality. - Build Quality - The stand is great, the mount needs 2 screws and that's it, and even comes with 4 mounting posts for a VESA adapter. Lots of adjustments on a stable platform that's nice and compact. - 65w charging from the USB-C displayport alt cable is great if you need it. Power your laptop or a phone easily. The Bad: - It ONLY came with a display port cable as well as the power cables. I expected an HDMI cable too. - Missing several premium features, such as the ability to configure the monitor from your PC, no USB Hub/Switch, no RGB. To be fair, it doesn't promise these, but some folks expect it. - Overdrive tuning could be better. Normal, Fast, and Fastest are it. Would love one between Normal and fast, and one between Fast and Fastest, or a way to tune it manually, or better yet an adjustable rate that was tuned better. - The joystick control works fine for the onscreen display, but I would have liked a dedicated power button and maybe 1-2 other buttons. Still very usable, but the power button would be nice. - Lots of abbreviations in the menu means you may need to look online for the manual to see what the settings do. No included manual, though that's honestly probably helping to save a tree and reduce waste. - No true HDR. It supports HDR, but with no dimming zones it'll be pretty weak. Outside of OLEDs or Mini-LEDs, you don't get HDR in PC Monitors, and not till you go about tipple this product's price range. Overall, this is an amazing product. Gaming on this is amazing and super immersive. Visuals pop, it's bright, colors look great, and it's been a huge upgrade. This is a great value in the high refresh 27" 1440P space.

It is really good no problems, but if you have a mic, use it because the monitor speakers are not working for the games I play so if you have one you are good.

not worth the price personally

i was gonna return my 1440 180 hz asus tuf and get this instead for extra frames but i was disappointed cause this MSI monitor was $150 more and no speakers and the pic was just about the same. the only pro was 240 hz instead of 180 hz but that isnt worth the extra $150 personally so im returning the MSI and keeping the asus tuf instead
