Rocky S2V Predator Composite Toe 400g Insulated Military Boot

I am very happy with these boots, only ones that give me comfort and durability.

About 125 miles ago I offered my original review. Since then most of my miles have been between November 1 - December 20, 2024 (the later date being the date of this update). Prior to November 1 the weather was too warm for these boots. I find them comfortable to wear below 55F. So far the coldest use has been 2F. So I can report that in that temperature range these have been comfortable and have have kept my feet dry through rainstorms, mud, snow, slush, and ice. I still give these boots a 5-Star rating. I can report only one issue to date. A crease developed in one tongue that created a painful pressure point on my upper ankle. I solved this by temporarily inserting a small piece of rolled-up packing foam between the tongue, lace eyes, and laces. Wearing it this way for a a few miles reset the crease in a different lay that has been comfortable ever since. The sole lugs on these boots grip better than expected on hard pack snow and ice. The lugs also release most debris very well so I don't often track mud or snow into the house. An exception is when the mud contains clay, I then need to make sure I clean the boots outside before coming inside.
