Dreams are sometimes the easy means by which we cross the threshold into other realms, the supernatural can infiltrate those dreams and speak to us to degrees that we either understand, or don't. When we don't, the message becomes difficult to receive. Sophie clearly didn't understand the dream that haunted her for a year now and left her feeling terrified.
