Pop-Tarts Eggo Frosted Maple Flavor Toaster Pastries, Breakfast Foods, Shelf-Stable, 27 oz (16 Count)

I'm a person who's not huge on toaster pastries, but I purchased these for my husband to eat on the way to work and I have to admit that I can't stop eating these!!! The maple flavor is unbelievably perfect and considering it's supposed to be a syrup flavor, I didn't find them overly sweet like I feel fruit flavored pastries tend to be. I have absolutely no negative comments for this product unless you consider the fact that we ran out of them a lot faster than we expected!!!

Upon opening the silver pouch I was greeted by the yellowness of the pastry which I found disconcerting.. In all my years eating pop tarts I've never seen the pastry that color so it felt as though they had gone bad. The actual eating experience was as follows: Untoasted Texture: A bit mushy, sort of falls together as one note Flavor: Arguably good but I can't say it tastes like a waffle. There's maple in there somehwere Toasted Aroma: Immediately I was enveloped in a warm rush of nostalgia as the smell of fresh waffles encircled the room Texture: Much smoother, like warm syrup cascading over the nooks and crannies of a true Eggo waffle Flavor: Pops of maple, hints of buttery goodness, Sturdiness of a fresh Belgian inspired waffle base, truly a high class experience. Overall: This is absolutely a pop tart to eat toasted, and a good one at that.
