I needed pants with some room in the thighs for my granddaughter, who is big boned. These almost made it, better then any other brand including Gymboree, which is what I normally buy. These will go on, but won't have much growing room. The big benefit is that if you need a five around the top, but the length is too long, you can use these with cuffs and the still look cute. They have a red button on the side of each leg for rolling them up.
