Art Alternatives Spiral-Bound Sketch Book, 5.5" x 8"

I was introduced to this sketchbook brand way back in 2012, and this brand of hardcover sketchbooks was what I'd purchase for every year during my time in high school. The papers are just perfect for pen and pencil, and any other dry media really. The paper will buckle when using wet media, like watercolor and gouache, but when I had no suitable sketchbook for wet media back in high school, I used this brand of sketchbooks to paint gouache sketches in them. I wouldn't recommend for really wet media applications, but stuff like ink, pen pencils, charcoal and dry pastel, and maybe markers, will work wonders with this sketchbook. Throughout the years, the sketchbooks by AA have been consistently made well, no loose binding, the paper texture is smooth and doesn't wear down your pencils quickly (not smooth like smooth bristol paper) and the last time I purchased an AA sketchbook was back in late 2016, so as of now, it's been a while. These sketchbooks are high quality, and I'll buy from AA again in the future!
