A great purchase

I have a group of guys that Reno old homes we all ways get homes that need loving and their back yards and front yards are out of control. As a owner I have to trust my people to be safe and fast at getting the job done and all my employees love use ing my 20 in and 16 in Dewalt saws

Great...BUT

I went through two other Dewalt Chainsaws (12" and 18") before purchasing this one. Those two were not good for homesteading. The 20" Chainsaw however, works incredibly well and is attached to my tractor most days. HOWEVER, I did have to repair and upgrade some internal parts because the original parts wore and broke too easily. Mainly the chain tensioner assembly. The gears were made of plastic and wore/broke after just a month of continued use. After replacing them with the upgrade, I have not had any issues. The other concern of mine was the chain itself. There needs to be a "rip chain" style that cuts through wood and lasts longer. I don't want a "clean" cut with a chainsaw. I want to sharpen it as little as possible and get a long life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago to cut down some trees, and when it is working it is great but I spend too much with the chain tension and today it stopped working on full charge battery. This is supposed to be a professional tool and does not live up to it
