Free Assembly Women's Striped T-Shirt Bib Mini Dress with Long Sleeves

this is my first time trying the Free Assembly brand, so I had no idea how the sizes run. I usually wear a L in Time and Tru dresses. to be on the safe side, I ordered an XL in this dress because sometimes the charts can be off but this one is pretty accurate. the XL fits a little big but I have a sewing machine and can easily take it in and prefer that to exchanging. that way I can get a more tailored fit. I am 5'2 and it hits just above my knees. the material is a nice weight of cotton/poly which is refreshing because I've had enough of those super thin rayon dresses. the dress is well-made.

Not sure why I tried horizontal stripes again but I thought the bib style might break that up some. It's just not the best pattern for not so slim short gals. For the sale price, it was worth a try but it didn't work for my petite frame and 38D chest. It fit but the look wasn't cute overall on me. It was at the knee and not above it, which is not uncommon since I'm just under 5 feet. I think this could work well for some others though. Quality seems okay, thicker cotton fabric and not see through at all.
