Not for stepping out of the shower dripping wet

Very THIN. It absorbs a LIMITED amount of water at a time, but loses its effectiveness over time. If you have kids and looking for a magical water absorbing mat that can handle a tsunami, this is NOT it!! It'll absorb a decent amount of water (like a cup at a time), but any more than that will either puddle up or run off the sides. it dry faster than your standard bath mat. which is a plus, but I've noticed that it's starting to absorb less water each time i use it and stay wet longer, so it's definitely not high quality.. I've had it for less than 4 months. Trust me when i say you're better off putting the price of this rug towards a true stone mat.... sure, they're expensive, but worth it.
