Blue Striped Chaise Lounge Cushion Set of 2, Outdoor Indoor Patio Polyester Chair Cushion

We have a large yard and have had many outdoor chaise and chair cushions over the years. We live in Southern California where the weather is for the most part temperate but the sun pretty much bakes everything outside. We dont have a lot of rain, but this year we did. I have found that our outdoor cushions usually last a year or so. I am hoping and thinking that these might be the exception. They come rolled up (like some mattresses do nowadays) and you are told to be sure to open their wrapping up with a scissors - not box cutters - so that they can unroll and you wont cut the material. They easily opened up flat. You are also told to immediately put the cover on because the cushions will inflate over a 24 hour period. I thought I could put the cover on easily by myself but my husband came over to help me. I think I probably couldve done it on my own but he started laughing when he saw me wresting with the thing so he mercifully helped and held it down while I zipped it in place. I did not notice any odor from the cushion. I also did not particular notice the cushion swell up much after 24 hours; it seemed to fill up the cover right away but there must have been a little bit of swelling that occurred. (You are told that you can adjust the cover AFTER the 24 hours.) The cushion itself is extremely comfortable and adjusts easily to a variety of chaise shapes. It has snaps that can keep it in place. This feels thicker and more durable than any cushion weve had in the past. So the question is, is it? And to that I can only say that time will tell. I will definitely come back and edit this review if we have any problems with this cushion or if it starts to show any premature wear and tear or if it starts to retain rain-water. Its a little pricier than most cushions on the market, but its definitely more comfortable and plush than others weve had and if its more durable then its worth the cost.
