These pregnancy announcement cards are so adorable! I love this idea. I'm going to have all the grandparents do one, and maybe my sister, too. They look like genuine lotto tickets, and they have the heavy cardstock paper. They're thick and they have the perforations at each end as if they were torn from a roll of lotto tickets. It even has a disclaimer on the back that also makes them seem like legitimate lotto tickets.

My husband loves his scratch offs so I knew this would be a fun way for my daughter in law and I to relay the good news. He also loves a good prank so the look on his face was priceless! We had been keeping this secret since Thanksgiving and these came at the perfect time to announce that he was to be a Pappaw. They were easy to use and made it such a fun experience. They actually look like a real scratcher, with a bar code at the bottom and same look as the typical scratch off tickets that he gets each week. The left side has fun symbols that are of course themed and on the left it indicated the meaning with a message of “We're having a baby!” Upon first glance no one would know that this isn't a real gambling ticket and people are usually so excited to get to scratching that they don't look too hard at the little details or doubt it. The package included 5 so I gave the rest to my daughter in law to use with her sisters and parents and I'm looking forward to watching the videos of those reactions too. There are a lot of different ways to convey this type of message to someone but I think the theme and trick element to these made them perfect for our situation. The quality is great and it was a fun and simple way to get the point across. It only took a minute or so and then we could all celebrate together. I'm happy that their secret is finally out so we can all plan for more moments together and this was a memorable way to kick it all off.
