Alfred Teach Yourself to Play Ukulele, Complete Pack

It can not stay in tune to save its life. I would tune it and strumming it four times it would be out of tune again. The book and cd is probably the best thing about this but all together I wouldn't recommend it unless you're wanting to play out of tune the whole time.

I got this starter pack as a birthday present. I play guitar already, so I was familiar with a stringed instrument. The most important thing I used this package for was learning the chords. The CD, tuner and book are probably the most important pieces of this as the Ukulele wouldn't stay in tune. I'd strum it a few times and then have to re-tune it. It might be OK for someone wanting to try it out, but they'll get frustrated thinking they are messing up when the thing goes out of tune and they don't know better. I'd spend the money on a better instrument.
