- Focus the light:
Tilt the microscope and rotate the mirror so that it is facing the light source in your room. Adjust the angle until the light is fully reflected onto the bottom of the stage.
- Load the slide:
Place the prepared slide on the stage, fastening it with the clips. Make sure the sample you are viewing is in the center of the stage.
- Choose the magnification:
The magnification strength is chosen by selecting the objective lens you would like to use.
- Adjust the focus:
Turn the focusing knob to lower the lens so that it is close to, but not touching, the slide.
- Select a color filter:
Rotating the color filter changes the contrast of the image, which can make it easier see the slide.
