Loropetalum Ruby 1 Large Gallon Size Plant Chinese Fringe Flower Evergreen Flowering Shrub

These Loropetalum Ruby plants arrived three days earlier than expected. They are in excellent condition. There are even a few flowers on them. I haven't quite decided where to plant them. I know they can get very tall. I saw a YouTube video on loropetalum. and several of the "ruby" can be shaped into a hedge. Individually, they can be grown as bush, and I even saw one shaped into a tree! As a new gardener, I bought one several years ago from Walmart not knowing exactly what kind of "plant" it was. I placed it in a morning sun location between a tall rose bush and a pink azalea hedge. All three bloomed at the same time. Just beautiful! For a striking contrast, a plant with chartruese foliage would work very well. As regards this shipment, though they were packed well, one of them was wrapped so tightly in the cellophane that several of the lower branches were broken. Some people would complain, but I know the Loropetalum Ruby is a fast grower, so this packaging issue wasn't really bothersome. It might be a good idea to place plant cages around these plants to protect them from this kind of damage. I started cutting the cellophane wrapping from the top down, but I soon realized it was better to start from the bottom. A good price, as are all of the plants I have ordered from Walmart. A great product shipped from Florida Foliage. This company also included a slip of paper with two QR codes, one about the company and a another code on plant care tips. On the backside of the slip was a QR code offering a plant fertilizer at a discount. I highly recommend Walmart and Florida Foliage.
