Delia Sanchez- hotel hospitality manager, best-selling writer, ghost conduit, and new mom - is busy preparing the charmingly-haunted Loring Boutique Hotel to host the remaining survivors of a drug trial conducted twenty years ago. They've reunited for a fundraising venture to benefit the financially-strapped Stevensen Memorial Hospital that helped cure them of childhood cancer. Delia's also putting the finishing touches on her fast-approaching Valentine's Day wedding to fiancé Gabe. Unfortunately, an unexpected and unwelcome guest throws Delia's preparations into a tailspin. Tallulah Mimowsky, Gabe's ex-wife, has invited herself to the wedding.
Events go from bad to worse when a hooded intruder threatens Delia's cat Esmeralda, poisons a guest who accidentally eats that cat's gourmet meal, and finally gases someone else almost to death.
