A premium build quality, lightweight, aluminum performance radiator for any budget. Furnace-brazed construction is more durable than epoxy and gasket construction. Doulbe pass style Ford/Mopar 1.5-inch driver side upper inlet, and 1.75-inch driver side lower outlet. Two rows of 1-inch aluminum tubes cool better than 5 rows of traditional copper tubes. Double pass design lowers coolant temperatures 10-20 degrees with 2.25-inch core. Dense fin structure improves airflow and adds rigidity to radiator core. Billet aluminum filler neck guarantees a long-lasting seal under high pressures. Widths (outside tank-to-outside tank) of 22, 24, 26, 28, or 31-inch available. All radiator widths are 19 inches tall to fit a variety of street and race applications. Efficient, yet simple single-pass crossflow design with 2.25-inch core thickness. Basic design for DIY universal fit applications, with the focus on engine cooling. Radiator mounting brackets, insulators, radiator cap, and shroud sold separately. Performance Under Pressure, Lap After Lap, Mile After Mile Our line of universal crossflow aluminum Chevy radiators makes it easy for budget-minded racers to get a professional-quality, no compromises aluminum racing radiator. Constructed of lightweight, 100 percent aluminum, each radiator assembly is fully furnace brazed for maximum durability and performance. Unlike lower cost or OEM radiators, there are no epoxy and gaskets used in the radiator’s construction here! Epoxy acts as an insulator, causing radiators to heat unevenly, and this stress combined with the vibration from racing can cause epoxy seals to crack and leak or separate over time. Furnace brazing minimizes fatigue from the rapid heating and cooling cycles. Since all the metal parts are fused together with a metal joint, they conduct heat evenly between the tanks and the rest of the assembly, preventing uneven expansion between the fused pieces, keeping the joint strong. Fully furnace brazed construction also means no crimped on end tanks with an O-ring seal to fail that can put you out of the race or on a flatbed ride home. We welded a CNC machined billet filler neck to our radiator’s end tank for a strong seal under high pressures that will outperform cast filler necks. The billet filler neck is designed with an industry standard 1-5/8-inch inner cap diameter so that you can use any off the shelf radiator cap with the pressure rating you need for racing or street use (yes, these radiators work great for engine swaps, custom builds, and more for street use applications). An 1/8-inch NPT overflow port is machined into the billet filler neck to accommodate the included 1/4-inch hose barb fitting included. This port can be used for a simple overflow tank for racing, or a more street friendly recirculating recovery tank system. Maximum Cooling Ability for Your Race Car, Street Car, or Muscle Truck Our double pass design uses two rows of 1-inch wide aluminum tubes which have more surface area than similar design copper radiators, cooling the same as five rows of copper tubes. The double-pass design flows the coolant twice through the radiator, allowing longer time in the airflow and lowering your coolant temperatures by 10-20 degrees. A dense fin structure adds an additional layer of strength to the support tubes, better directs air flow through the core, and has more surface area to transfer and shed heat. The core is 2.25 inches thick, a perfect balance of maximizing directed airflow and heat transfer. The crossflow design allows the radiator cap to be mounted on the low-pressure (suction) side of the system, minimizing pressure on the neck assembly, especially in high-RPM usage. This radiator is built for one purpose, cooling your engine. No internal transmission cooler maximizes cooling efficiency. Mounting an external transmission cooler will be necessary for automatic equipped cars and trucks
