Wool production during 1968 continued to fall far short of mill requirements for raw apparel wool. Shorn and pulled wool output was equivalent to 100 million pounds, clean basis, or 43 percent of new supplies. Imports of raw apparel wool (all dutiable wools) amounted to 130 million pounds, clean content, 57 percent of new supplies-compared with 109 million pounds, 51 percent, in 1967.
