Excellent Rod!!!

Bought this spinning rod recently after going to Walmart and holding one. Its a Vengeance but is exclusive to Walmart so named Vigilante. Wow! It is high quality for sure! I'm not one for expensive gear but for 36 bucks you cannot go wrong on an Abu garcia rod. I paired it with a penn pursuit 4000 and had a great time first time fishing with it. Caught a nice largemouth, perch and yellow perch, and something really BIG that ended up getting away as it made a final dash to escape...hook came out....likely carp or catfish...it was heavy! But overall...the rod is excellent for both big and small fish...very sensitive tip.....great workmanship. I did not have that issue with the plastic reel holder which you screw down to hold the reel that the other reviewer has had. The one i have is very well made and i was able to screw down the reel pretty tight. Its a great rod overall....plan to get several more! Thanks walmart

Hidden gem

First off, it disturbs me that this site has a caster rod displayed as a spinning rod. But that aside. Any one who has ever fished with an Abu Garcia knows of the great quality of these product. I recently picked up the Vigilante Abu Garcia at Wal-Mart to go with my Abu Garcia Pro Max low profile baitcaster. Also a little information. It is my understanding that the Vigilante is a Wal-Mart special, and it is a Vendetta blank with a different graphic on it and a solid dense foam handle.

Viglante 24ton Graohite

I really like the way this rod fills in your hands, has a nice backbone for the money. I only rate this rod a 2 stars because when you buy this rod you should expect to have to change out the guide eye due to the inserts will pop out.... I bought 3 of these poles at the same time from the local Wal-Mart and within 2 months all three needed to have the guide eye replace.....
