This works well for one person to use, but for multiple people drinking coffee it may be too small. My only concern is I have had this product for close to 6 months and the glass see through part at the top of the lid has already broke.

Product is under-sized, holds only 40 fluid ounces
This product is apparently not meant to contain nine 8-ounce cups. It was obviously small when I examined it. I filled it up to its "9-cup" level and measured the contents and it was only approximately 40 fluid ounces. Apparently, the "9-cups" are some sort of "coffee-cup" size, each of which is only about 4.5 U.S. or British fluid ounces. It should have held 72 ounces rather than 40 ounces. I will be returning it. There are a couple of other 9 and 12 ounce stainless steel coffee pots on the market...I guess I'll have to contact the manufacturers to find out their actual capacities. This manufacturer also has a 12-cup pot, which I would have to guess holds about 53 fluid ounces and might work out for me. The metal is fairly thin but would probably last O.K. if the size was suitable. I purchased this item for home use. It barely fits on my normal gas burner, and I would be hesitant to use it as it would be fairly easy to knock over. I suspect their "12-cup" size would be safer to use on a normal burner. Perhaps I will try it.
