MarketSide Bay Scallops

Just rinsed, pat dry, sautéed, added seasonings and bingo. Served HOT over pasta, cold served OVER pasta shells (medium) w/fresh tomatoes (roma variety) and avocado. Tried various salad dressings. It was an outright hot hit. These were NOT the huge type. Smaller in size. Once patted dry...placed in pan with butter and garlic and dill weed. Use your own seasoning choices. Cheers.

classic sweet scallop

If you used to eating scallops you know how lovely it is to find a cheap source of them base scallops are usually more tender and sweeter than sea scallops also more affordable, usually. Though this Walmart price is truly remarkable. It's so nice to be able to routinely afford to buy my mother's favorite type of seafood. It's a great protein addition to any meal and I find that kids actually like them as long as you don't overcook them. So throw them in at the very last second as you can eat scallops raw. You can eat them raw they make amazing sushi but not Walmart scallops. A lot of seafood from department store frozen sections is lower quality this might be but the flavor is still there which is what I care about. Any dish that you would put shrimp and you can use scallops.

good but must prepare properly

these bay scallops are delicious. great price. they cook up in minutes...but there is some prep for great tasting scallops. first these are frozen so they must be thawed and dried as much as possible. this way you get a tender scallop with a nice sear. taste great tossed with pasta, rice, or vegetables
